Winner being presented with his prize by the Youth Sub-committee chair

The IMWS Youth Club’s FIFA 14 Tournament turned into a colourful competition full of competitive local gamers aiming to be the very first IMWS FIFA Champion.

In an enthralling Sunday afternoon 16 gamers aged 11 to 19 took part during a thumb crunching contest played on the Youth Club’s PS4.

Winners from each of the four groups progressed into the semi-final knock out stage, before setting up a final between 16-year-old Usmaan Rafaqat and 14-year-old Ismaaeel Ahmed.

The final turned out to be a heavily one sided drubbing as Usmaan’s Chelsea beat Ismails Real Madrid 6-0. Making Usmaan the first IMWS Fifa Champion. The winner received £20 in gift vouchers whilst the runner-up, who gallantly played all afternoon, received a £10 voucher.

During the tournament the Youth Club enjoyed an atmosphere to challenge any stadium in the country, as young supports filled the room and enjoyed the many activities the Youth Club has to offer.

Chair of the IMWS Youth sub-committee, Hafez Moosa Rawat, said the tournament had been a fantastic opportunity for the boys and played under a terrific atmosphere.

The IMWS Youth Club takes place every Tuesday from 7:30pm and offers a wide range of activities including PS4, Pool tables, Table Tennis, board games, live Champions League matches and much much more.
