IMWS

IMWS lost one of its dedicated trainer John Leach who provided circuit training to service users on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Al Hikmah Centre. John decided to call it a day due to the ill health of his mother as he wanted to look after her.  He joined IMWS some fifteen years ago to serve the Society and the service users.

The sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays were immensely popular amongst both old and young. John cared deeply about the service users’ health needs and knew exactly what kind of exercise routine was appropriate for both groups.  He was very enthusiastic, authoritative, passionate, respected and committed about the circuit training.

One of the over 40’s service users, Ismailbhai Lunat commented “John knew how far to push people when he was training us. He was very well liked and people respected him for his keenness. Wednesday’s circuit training sessions will not be same without John.” Shaheed Akudi who co-ordinates the Friday group commented “We are all very sad to learn that John will be leaving us. He was very commanding and was well liked. John was truly an inspirational figure and we will miss him.”

The time given by John was well appreciated by the IMWS.  Both the IMWS Chair and the vice-Chair visited John to convey the Society’s gratitude for providing the well appreciated service as he could not come to the centre and he was presented with a gift voucher. Mohamed Mulla commented “The Society lost a very good friend and a committed individual who cared deeply about the health of all individuals.  We are sad that John has left but are pleased to learn that he has left to provide care for his elderly mother which is very commendable.  We wish him all the best for the future”.

The Society is pleased to inform the readers and the service users that the circuit training continues at the Al Hikmah centre on Wednesdays and Fridays.
